The looming protein crisis and global warming
If the current rate of population growth continues, the world's population is expected to exceed 9.7 billion in 2050. In addition to this population growth, due to improvements in diet (more meat consumption) resulting from rising GDP in emerging countries, twice the protein supply will be required in 2050 compared to 2005.
While continuing research into land-based aquaculture technology with universities around the world, we will create a system that will deliver safe and secure protein to consumers all over the world.
